VistaPrint Business Cards Anyone?

Truth is that VistaPrint has an outstanding selection of business cards ranging from the most basic to the most advanced. VistaPrint has packages ranging from basic to premier.

The basic package yells “250 Free Business Cards” and includes really nothing more than good old fashioned print with really no flash included. With the basic package you can however add a photo or two including other images but it will cost you for each additional item you add including taking the VistaPrint advertising off the back of the card. You have the option to add gloss, bold lettering, etc… By the time you get done you could be a little further away from “free” than you thought or desired. At the same time however you do get a pretty good looking professional business card. How do we know you ask? Because we are a customer and as with everything at Stay Home Tomorrow, we don’t talk about it unless we have tested it. We should also mention that there is a $9.99 option which will give you just a little more flexibility in your design including adding bold letters, a photo, etc…

The premier 250 business card package starting at $19.99 gives you a lot of range in regards to design, placement, add-on’s, front and back details, choice of high quality business card stock, etc… When you consider all that is included in the premier package, $19.99 really is a drop in the bucket when you consider the exposure you get by delivering high quality business cards to prospective customers. There is an option to increase the order size to 500 business cards and beyond and each jump in numbers will cost you extra money.

VistaPrint has a fairly smooth checkout process but we weren’t overly happy with all of the “other” offers that are thrown in your face. Not that they weren’t good products at reasonable prices but rather because there were so many of them. There were four or more different screens that were pitching stationary, greeting cards, rubber stamps, magazines, and on and on. When you finally got to the checkout there were two orders one of which consisted your original order and one which consisted of your order and another order below with an additional add on item you “might” want and of course a higher price.

We would be remiss though if we didn’t mention that they do offer you several free items like a magazine or two at the very end of the checkout. VistaPrint also offers you a “free” shipping rebate but you are required to sign up for another service if you want to cash in that rebate.

Although we found all of the fastballs coming at us a little irritating, at no point were we forced to add anything or choose anything. By the time we got done with our order that started off being “250 Free Business Cards” it was really $23.00 or so but we did add two images, dropped the VistaPrint advertising on the back, etc… We want to make it clear that at every step in the process VistaPrint made it a point to show you the updated order based on what you chose or did not choose. That scored several gold stars for them.

Vista Print has a whole line of products and they are truely a full service business company including full color printing and digital printing. They were not deceptive in any way and made no bones about throwing everything they have or do at you. Was that to add more money to their bottom line? Maybe it was but I would expect any business to throw everything they have at any prospective company in hopes of not just adding to their bottom line that particular day but rather to build a solid relationship with y0u which keeps you coming back. It kind of sounds like what we “home business owners” are trying to do doesn’t it? The difference between VistaPrint and some other vendors we all come into contact with is that they believe in their products and they go out of their way to let you know it.
